Abhijit Sarkar


 

Abhijit Sarkar is a Fund Manager at Hamon Investment Group. He is responsible for research and generation of ideas for stock selections in the Indian markets. Abhijit has over 10 years of experience of the Indian financial markets.

Before joining Hamon, Abhijit was the portfolio manager for 'Privileged Account Services' at Birla Sunlife Asset Management Limited, one of India's largest asset management companies, where he worked for 5 years. Prior to that, Abhijit was a consultant with Technology Capital Partners and was responsible for investment banking activities for technology companies.

Abhijit graduated from the University of Delhi in 1995 and is a Chartered Accountant and was awarded a postgraduate degree in management from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.

Emily Chang


 

Emily Chang is a Fund Manager at Hamon Investment Group. She is responsible for research and generation of ideas for stock selections in the Taiwanese, Korean and Chinese markets.

Emily has 10 years of experience in research and investment in the financial services industry and has worked for Goldman Sachs (Hong Kong and Taipei), Lehman Brothers (Taipei), and Citigroup (Taipei). She was a key member of Goldman Sachs' technology investment research team in 2005-2008 and the team was ranked No. 1 by Institutional Investors in 2007. Prior to joining Hamon, she was responsible for portfolio management for the BlackShip China Advisors.

Emily graduated from the Taiwan National University with a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration.

Eric Ritter


 

Eric Ritter is a Fund Manager at Hamon Investment Group and has over twenty years of experience in the Asian Pacific Region securities markets. He is responsible for researching and idea generation for stock selection in Korea, Hong Kong and ASEAN markets.

Prior to Hamon, Eric managed an Asia ex-Japan hedge Fund at Nezu Asia and advised other Nezu Funds from 2005-2009. Eric also helped expanding Nezu's research team in Hong Kong and managed several analysts including technology, consumer and commodities. From 1996-2004, Eric launched and managed a Pan Asia mutual fund and an International Discovery Fund at Driehaus Capital in Chicago. Previously, he also worked as an equity analyst and institutional sales at WICarr and Barings in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and New York from 1989 to 1995.

Eric has a BA degree in Economics from the State University of New York, and M.A. in International Relations at Columbia University - School of International Affairs. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

William Liu


 

William Liu is a Fund Manager at Hamon Investment Group focusing on management and research on the Chinese markets.

William started his career in HK with UBS Investment Bank, handling the distribution of US treasurers, agency bonds and other structured products. He then joined CLSA and worked for 5 years, progressing to Head of China Research and was responsible to run a Greater China fund for an institutional client. Prior to joining Hamon, he was the Executive Director for BNP Paribas Securities Asia, heading research and strategy, and assisting BNP to develop China domestic QDII business.

William graduated with a BSc in Economics from the University of Shanghai for Science & Technology. Upon graduation he worked as a business reporter, producer and anchor at the Shanghai TV Station for three years. He then studied in the UK and obtained a masters degree in Finance from the London Business School.

Neil Samir Mascarenhas


 

Neil Mascarenhas is an Assistant Fund Manager at Hamon Asset Management. He is responsible for research and idea generation in the Indian market.

Neil has over 5 years of experience in the Indian financial markets. Before joining Hamon, Neil worked for 4 years as a Senior Investment Analyst at SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd., a joint venture between BNP Paribas and the State Bank of India and one of India's largest private life insurance companies. Prior to that, Neil was an Analyst with J.P. Morgan India Services.

Neil graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai in 2001 with a B.A. in Economics and Statistics. He was subsequently awarded an M.A. in Economics from University of Mumbai and an M.B.A. from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.



Portfolio Analysis Manager, FRM

Philip Cheng


 

Philip Cheng is a Portfolio Analysis Manager at Hamon Investment Group and is responsible for company research in the IT industry and portfolio risk analysis.

Philip began his career as a technology coordinator in Opals Australia, a multinational jewellery company based in Sydney. He then worked as a part-time analyst for a marketing firm in 2005.

In 2004, Philip graduated from the University of New South Wales with a double degree of B.Com in Finance and Accounting and a B.Sc. in Computer Science. He subsequently received an M.Com in Fund Management in 2006.

Sean Zhu


 

Sean Zhu is a Financial Analyst at Hamon Asset Management. He is responsible for research and analysis for the China and Hong Kong markets.

Sean has 5 years of experience in the China and Hong Kong equity markets. Prior to joining Hamon, Sean worked for 2 years as an Investment Analyst in Mirae Asset Global Investments in HK, where he focused on the consumer, auto and capital goods companies in HK and China. Prior to this, he was a Research Analyst at China Life Franklin Asset Management Co, specializing in consumer, auto and internet companies.

Sean Graduated from Tufts University, USA with a B.A. in Quantitative Economics and Mathematics.



Research Analyst

April Chan


 

April Chan is a Research Analyst at Hamon Investment Group and is responsible for research in Asean countries as well as fund performance evaluation and attribution analysis.

April started her career as a junior municipal designer at a civil engineering company based in Toronto. She also completed an internship at NEC Electronics in Hong Kong in the summer of 2004. She then worked as a part-time accounting assistant for a computer solution firm based in Toronto in 2005.

April is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.



Research Analyst

Christopher Chu


 

Christopher Chu is a Research Analyst with Hamon Investment Group and is responsible for research in Asian economics.

Prior to joining Hamon, Christopher worked as a Graduate Analyst with CLSA Asia Pacific Markets in Hong Kong, and then served as an Economic Research Assistant with the University of Macau.

Christopher graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, California with a double major in Mathematical Economics and Psychology, and holds a Master's of Philosophy degree from Cambridge University.
